Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
MRCGIGUY (MCG) Guestbook version 1.0
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
name, email, website, and message parameters in the gb.cgi file. This can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.Recommendations
For MRCGIGUY (MCG) Guestbook version 1.0, consider validating and sanitizing user input for the
name, email, website, and message parameters to prevent XSS attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the gb.cgi file until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
