VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions radvd versions prior to 1.8.2
Description The issue allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files and remote attackers to overwrite certain files via a .. (dot dot) in an interface name. This can be leveraged with a symlink to overwrite arbitrary files. Exploitation of the vulnerabilities may lead to disruption of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information and can be carried out remotely.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.8.2, update to version 1.8.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the interface name parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the ..
