| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Autonomy KeyView versions prior to 8.5.2 FP3
Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the assr.dll component of Autonomy KeyView, which is used in IBM Lotus Notes. This occurs when the software processes crafted tag data in an Applix spreadsheet attachment, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 8.5.2 FP3, update to version 8.5.2 FP3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the handling of Applix spreadsheet attachments to minimize the risk of exploitation.
