| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PHP-Nuke versions 8.0 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
sender name or sender email parameter in a Feedback action to "modules.php" API endpoint. This can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.Recommendations
For PHP-Nuke versions 8.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Feedback action in modules.php until a patch is available. Avoid using the
sender name and sender email parameters in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
