Description
A denial of service issue exists in the Windows TCP/IP stack, caused by improper handling of specially crafted ICMP messages. This can allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in the target system stopping to respond and automatically restarting.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2, R2, and R2 SP1, and Windows 7 Gold and SP1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
