Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved through the URI to "includes/application.php", reachable through "index.php". Additionally, when using Internet Explorer or Konqueror, attackers can inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the searchword parameter in a search action to "index.php" in the com search component.

Recommendations For versions prior to 1.7.0, update to version 1.7.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "includes/application.php" file and the searchword parameter in the com search component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
