| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 3.0
Description
The issue is related to the
apparmor setprocattr function in the Linux kernel, which does not properly handle invalid parameters. This can allow local users to cause a denial of service, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference and OOPS, or possibly have other unspecified impacts by writing to a /proc/#####/attr/current file.Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.0, update to version 3.0 or later to resolve the issue.
