CVE-2011-4052
CVSS v2.0
9.3
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
InduSoft Web Studio versions 6.1 through 7.0
Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the CEServer.exe component. This occurs when handling a crafted 0x15 operation, also known as a Remove File operation, for a file with a long name. This can allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For InduSoft Web Studio versions 6.1 through 7.0, consider restricting access to the CEServer component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the Remove File operation with long file names in the CEServer.exe component. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
