| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Clearsilver versions 0.10.5 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a format string vulnerability in the p cgi error function. This vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers who send format string specifiers that are not properly handled when creating CGI error messages. The exploitation can lead to a denial of service, causing the system to crash, and potentially allow the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For versions 0.10.5 and earlier, consider disabling the cgi error API function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the neo cgi module to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
