Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack that modifies packages or repositories, due to the use of an insecure connection for queries to the OpenPrinting database.

Recommendations For versions 11.04 through 11.10, consider disabling the automatic printer driver download service as a temporary workaround until a secure connection is established. Restrict access to the cupshelpers scripts to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
