| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Trend Micro Control Manager version 5.5 before Build 1613
Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the CGenericScheduler::AddTask function, which can be exploited by sending a crafted IPC packet to TCP port 20101, potentially allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Trend Micro Control Manager version 5.5 before Build 1613, update to Build 1613 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to TCP port 20101 to minimize the risk of exploitation.
