Description The issue is related to a buffer overflow when DHCPv6 mode is enabled, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted client identifier parameter. Multiple vulnerabilities in the dhcp package can lead to disruption of protected information availability, and exploitation can be done remotely.
Recommendations For ISC DHCP versions 4.2.x through 4.2.4-P1, update to version 4.2.4-P1 or later. For dhcp package versions prior to 4.2.4 p2, update to version 4.2.4 p2 or later.
