Description
The issue allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse HDJAPI.dll file in the current working directory. This can be demonstrated by a directory that contains a .mp3 file.
Recommendations
For Virtual DJ version 6.1.2 Trial b301, consider removing or restricting access to the HDJAPI.dll file in the current working directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using directories that contain .mp3 files with the affected Virtual DJ version until a fix is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
