CVE-2010-5264

CVSS v2.0

6.9

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Prof-UIS versions prior to 2.9.1
Description The issue allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse dwmapi.dll file in the current working directory, due to an untrusted search path vulnerability in the CExtDWM::CExtDWM method in ProfUIS290m.dll and ProfUIS290m-RDE.dll.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.9.1, update to version 2.9.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the CExtDWM::CExtDWM method until a patch is available. Avoid placing untrusted dll files, such as dwmapi.dll, in the current working directory to minimize the risk of exploitation.
