CVE-2011-4532

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Siemens Automation License Manager versions 2.0 through 5.1+SP1+Upd2
Description The issue is related to an absolute path traversal vulnerability in the ALMListView.ALMListCtrl ActiveX control. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via the Save method.
Recommendations For versions 2.0 through 5.1+SP1+Upd2, consider disabling the Save method in the ALMListView.ALMListCtrl ActiveX control as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the almaxcx.dll to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
