CVE-2011-5154

CVSS v2.0

6.9

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SAP GUI versions 6.4 through 7.2
Description The issue allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse MFC80LOC.DLL file in the current working directory. This can be demonstrated by a directory that contains a .sap file. The vulnerabilities are related to untrusted search path issues in SAPGui.exe and BExAnalyzer.exe.
Recommendations For SAP GUI versions 6.4 through 7.2, consider restricting access to the MFC80LOC.DLL file to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using directories that contain .sap files with SAPGui.exe and BExAnalyzer.exe until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
