CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
KnowledgeTree versions 3.7.0.2 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the PATH INFO to specific API endpoints, including "login.php", "admin.php", or "preferences.php". This can be exploited by attackers to execute malicious scripts on the victim's browser.
Recommendations
For KnowledgeTree versions 3.7.0.2 and earlier, consider restricting access to the affected API endpoints "login.php", "admin.php", and "preferences.php" until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using these endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
