CVE-2012-1007

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Apache Struts version 1.3.10
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via specific parameters to certain API endpoints. The vulnerable parameters include the name parameter to "struts-examples/upload/upload-submit.do", and the message parameter to "struts-cookbook/processSimple.do" or "struts-cookbook/processDyna.do".
Recommendations For Apache Struts version 1.3.10, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable API endpoints "struts-examples/upload/upload-submit.do", "struts-cookbook/processSimple.do", and "struts-cookbook/processDyna.do" to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the name and message parameters in these endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
