CVE-2012-1125

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Kish Guest Posting plugin version 1.2 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by uploading a file with a PHP extension, then accessing it via a direct request to the file in the directory specified by the folder parameter. This is due to an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in the uploadify/scripts/uploadify.php file.
Recommendations For Kish Guest Posting plugin version 1.2 and earlier, update to version 1.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the uploadify/scripts/uploadify.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the folder parameter in the affected upload functionality until the issue is resolved.
