Description A stack-based buffer overflow issue exists in the Remote Administration Protocol (RAP) implementation, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted RAP response packets. This issue enables an attacker to run arbitrary code on the target system, potentially leading to the installation of programs, viewing, changing, or deleting data, or creating new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations For Microsoft Windows XP SP3, apply the necessary patch to fix the Remote Administration Protocol Stack Overflow issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
