Description The issue arises from improper handling of canceled SOCKS5 connection attempts in proxy.c in libpurple, allowing user-assisted remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash. This can be achieved through a sequence of XMPP file-transfer requests.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.10.4, update to version 2.10.4 or later to resolve the issue.
