CVSS v4.0

8.7

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Tornado versions prior to 2.2.1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTTP headers and conduct HTTP response splitting attacks via crafted input. This is due to a CRLF injection vulnerability in the tornado.web.RequestHandler.set header function.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.2.1, update to version 2.2.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the set header function in the tornado.web.RequestHandler class to minimize the risk of exploitation.
