CVE-2012-2435

CVSS v2.0

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Pligg CMS versions prior to 1.2.2
Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the captcha parameter to "module.php". This can be exploited through cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.2.2, update to version 1.2.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the captcha module in module.php to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the captcha parameter in the affected module.php endpoint until the issue is resolved.
