CVSS v2.0

7.6

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Xelex MobileTrack versions 2.3.7 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute various commands via an SMS message because the application does not verify the origin of SMS commands. This can lead to the execution of commands such as LOCATE, TRACK, UPDATECFG, UPDATEACCT, STAT, TERM, or WIPE.
Recommendations For versions 2.3.7 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the reception of SMS commands until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive features to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
