5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Revelation versions 0.4.13-2 and earlier
Description
The issue reduces the entropy of passwords, making it easier for attackers to crack them via a brute-force attack, as it only considers the first 32 characters of a password followed by zeros.
Recommendations
For versions 0.4.13-2 and earlier, consider using alternative password management methods until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to sensitive keys and data to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
