| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
GraphicsMagick version 6.7.8-6
Description
The issue is related to the
Magick png malloc function in coders/png.c, which does not use the proper variable type for the allocation size. This might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted PNG file that triggers incorrect memory allocation.Recommendations
For GraphicsMagick version 6.7.8-6, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version may be prone to denial of service attacks due to incorrect memory allocation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
