Description
The issue arises from the squidclamav check preview handler function in squidclamav.c, which passes an unescaped URL to a system command call. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a daemon crash, by using a URL containing certain characters, such as %0D or %0A.
Recommendations
For SquidClamav versions 5.x through 5.7, update to version 5.8 or later.
For SquidClamav versions 6.x through 6.6, update to version 6.7 or later.
