Description
The issue is related to improper checking of packet sizes before reusing packet memory buffers. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, specifically heap memory corruption, or possibly have other unspecified impacts. The attack can be carried out via a short crafted packet with a certain opcode.
Recommendations
For Pro-face WinGP PC Runtime versions 3.1.00 and earlier, update to a version later than 3.1.00 to resolve the issue.
For Pro-face Pro-Server EX versions 1.30.000 and earlier, update to a version later than 1.30.000 to resolve the issue.
