Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PBBoard version 2.1.4
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be achieved via several parameters, including the
username parameter to the "send page", the email parameter to the "forget page", the password parameter to the "forum archive page", the section parameter to the "management page", the section id parameter to the "managementreply page", the member id parameter to the "new password page", or the subjectid parameter to the "tags page" to "index.php".Recommendations
For PBBoard version 2.1.4, consider restricting access to the vulnerable parameters, such as
username, email, password, section, section id, member id, and subjectid, until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using these parameters in the affected API endpoints. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
