CVE-2012-4253

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MySQLDumper version 1.24.4
Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files or execute arbitrary local files due to multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities. This can be achieved by including a .. (dot dot) in specific parameters, such as the language parameter to "learn/cubemail/install.php", the f parameter to "learn/cubemail/filemanagement.php", or the config parameter to "learn/cubemail/menu.php".
Recommendations For MySQLDumper version 1.24.4, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable API endpoints "learn/cubemail/install.php", "learn/cubemail/filemanagement.php", and "learn/cubemail/menu.php" to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the language, f, and config parameters in these endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
