Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a divide-by-zero error and application crash, via a zero-length message. This is due to a problem in the dissect pft function in the DCP ETSI dissector.
Recommendations For Wireshark versions 1.4.x through 1.4.14, update to version 1.4.15 or later. For Wireshark versions 1.6.x through 1.6.9, update to version 1.6.10 or later. For Wireshark versions 1.8.x through 1.8.1, update to version 1.8.2 or later.
