CVE-2012-4537

CVSS v2.0

2.1

Low

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Xen versions 3.4 through 4.2
Description The issue is related to a synchronization problem between the p2m and m2p tables when the set p2m entry function fails. This allows local HVM guest OS administrators to cause a denial of service, resulting in memory consumption and assertion failure.
Recommendations For Xen versions 3.4 through 4.2, consider applying a patch that properly synchronizes the p2m and m2p tables to prevent the denial of service. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
