Description The issue allows local guest administrators to cause a denial of service, resulting in a long loop and hang, by utilizing crafted extent order values in specific hypercalls. The affected hypercalls include XENMEM decrease reservation, XENMEM populate physmap, and XENMEM exchange.
Recommendations For versions prior to 4.2, consider restricting access to the XENMEM decrease reservation, XENMEM populate physmap, and XENMEM exchange hypercalls to prevent exploitation until a fix is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
