| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Xen versions 4.0 through 4.2
Description
The issue is related to multiple integer overflows in the
tmh copy from client and tmh copy to client functions within the Transcendent Memory (TMEM) in Xen. This allows local guest OS users to cause a denial of service, resulting in memory corruption and a host crash, via unspecified vectors.Recommendations
For Xen versions 4.0 through 4.2, consider restricting access to the
tmh copy from client and tmh copy to client functions as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
