Description The issue exists due to the lack of initialization of certain structures for IP VS SO GET TIMEOUT commands in the do ip vs get ctl function. This allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel stack memory using a specially crafted application. The do ip vs get ctl function is located in net/netfilter/ipvs/ip vs ctl.c.

Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.6, update to version 3.6 or later to resolve the issue.
