Description The issue exists in the scan function in ext/date/lib/parse iso intervals.c in PHP due to incorrect restriction of DateInterval object creation. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, specifically a heap-based buffer over-read, by using a specially crafted interval specification.
Recommendations For PHP versions prior to 5.5.7, update to version 5.5.7 or later to resolve the issue. For PHP through 5.5.6, update to a version later than 5.5.6 to fix the problem.
