| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
FFmpeg versions prior to 1.1
Description
The issue is related to the decode slice header function in libavcodec/h264.c, which allows remote attackers to have an impact via crafted H.264 data, triggering an out-of-bounds array access. Multiple vulnerabilities in the libav package may lead to disruption of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information, and can be exploited remotely.
Recommendations
For FFmpeg versions prior to 1.1, update to version 1.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of crafted H.264 data until a patch is applied.
