Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco NX-OS version 6.1(2) and earlier
Description
A directory traversal issue exists due to improper filtering of user input in the Command Line Interface (CLI) of the Cisco NX-OS Software. This allows an authenticated, local attacker to delete arbitrary files on the device by leveraging the
filesys delete command. The attacker must have local access to the targeted device, which decreases the likelihood of a successful exploit.Recommendations
For Cisco NX-OS version 6.1(2) and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
