Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform versions prior to 6.0.1
Description
The issue allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions for EJB methods due to the processInvocation function in org.jboss.as.ejb3.security.AuthorizationInterceptor authorizing all requests when no roles are allowed for an Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) method invocation.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 6.0.1, update to version 6.0.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to EJB methods to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
Incorrect Privilege Assignment
