Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 through 9
Description
An information disclosure issue exists, allowing remote attackers to read content from a different domain or zone via a crafted web site. This is due to improper auto-selection of the Shift JIS encoding, which triggers cross-domain scrolling events. An attacker could exploit this by constructing a specially crafted webpage, potentially allowing them to view content from another domain or Internet Explorer zone if a user views the webpage.
