Description
The issue allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse
dwmapi.dll or ibfs32.dll file in the current working directory. This can be demonstrated by a directory that contains a .gmc, .gmg, .gmp, .gms, .gmw, or .opt file.Recommendations
For Global Mapper version 14.1.0, consider removing or restricting access to the
dwmapi.dll and ibfs32.dll files in the current working directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using directories that contain .gmc, .gmg, .gmp, .gms, .gmw, or .opt files until the issue is resolved.
