CVE-2013-0877
CVSS v2.0
9.3
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
FFmpeg versions prior to 1.1.3
Description
The issue is related to the old codec37 function in libavcodec/sanm.c, which allows remote attackers to have an impact via crafted LucasArts Smush data. This is due to an out-of-bounds array access when the data has a large size when decoded.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.1.3, update to version 1.1.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the processing of LucasArts Smush data to minimize the risk of exploitation.
