5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco IOS XR (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak in the SNMP process allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending many port-162 UDP packets. The issue is due to not freeing allocated memory, which can be exploited by sending a large number of UDP packets to SNMP port 162, causing a limited memory leak and repeated reload of the affected process. An attacker may require access to trusted, internal networks to send crafted requests to the affected software.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
