| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Clutter (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue arises from the translate hierarchy event function in x11/clutter-device-manager-xi2.c, which fails to handle XIQueryDevice errors properly when a device has disappeared, particularly when resuming the system. This failure causes the gnome-shell to crash, potentially allowing physically proximate attackers to access the previous gnome-shell session.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
