CVE-2013-3674
CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
FFmpeg versions prior to 1.2.1
Description
The issue is related to the cdg decode frame function in libavcodec, which does not validate the presence of non-header data in a buffer. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an out-of-bounds array access and application crash, via crafted CD Graphics Video data.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.2.1, update to version 1.2.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the processing of CD Graphics Video data to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
