Description The issue is related to the dissect pft function in the DCP ETSI dissector, which does not properly validate a certain fragment length value. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash, via a crafted packet.
Recommendations For Wireshark versions 1.6.x through 1.6.15, update to version 1.6.16 or later. For Wireshark versions 1.8.x through 1.8.7, update to version 1.8.8 or later. For Wireshark version 1.10.0, update to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
