Description The issue is caused by an integer signedness error in the get type length function in the Bluetooth SDP dissector. This error allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a loop and CPU consumption, via a crafted packet.

Recommendations For Wireshark versions 1.8.x through 1.8.8, update to version 1.8.9 or later. For Wireshark versions 1.10.x through 1.10.0, update to version 1.10.1 or later.
