Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
D-Link DSL-2760U Gateway (Rev. E1)
Description
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via various parameters, including
ntpServer1 to "sntpcfg.cgi", username to "ddnsmngr.cmd" or "todmngr.tod", TodUrlAdd to "urlfilter.cmd", appName to "scprttrg.cmd", fltName in an add action or rmLst parameter in a remove action to "scoutflt.cmd", groupName to "portmapcfg.cmd", snmpRoCommunity to "snmpconfig.cgi", fltName parameter to "scinflt.cmd", PolicyName in an add action or rmLst parameter in a remove action to "prmngr.cmd", ippName to "ippcfg.cmd", smbNetBiosName or smbDirName to "samba.cgi", or wlSsid to "wlcfg.wl".Recommendations
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling access to the affected API endpoints until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the vulnerable parameters, such as
ntpServer1, username, TodUrlAdd, appName, fltName, rmLst, groupName, snmpRoCommunity, PolicyName, ippName, smbNetBiosName, smbDirName, and wlSsid, to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
