CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ghostscript version 9.10
Description The issue concerns the getenv and filenameforall functions in Ghostscript, which ignore the "-dSAFER" argument. This allows remote attackers to read data by using a crafted postscript file.
Recommendations For Ghostscript version 9.10, consider disabling the getenv and filenameforall functions until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive data to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
