Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:H/SI:H/SA:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Graphite versions 0.9.5 through 0.9.10
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized object. This is related to several files, including remote storage.py, storage.py, render/datalib.py, and whitelist/views.py. The unsafe use of the pickle Python module is the core of the problem.
Recommendations For Graphite versions 0.9.5 through 0.9.10, consider disabling the use of the pickle Python module as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the affected files to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable functions related to these files until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
